Microporous 3D graphitic carbons obtained by soft templating as carbocatalysts for aerobic oxidation

چکیده
Herein it is reported that chitosan, a natural filmogenic biopolymer, can undergo soft-templating in liquid phase under hydrothermal conditions by two typical structure directing agents, namely hexamethyleneimine (HMI) and tetraethylammonium (TEA) employed the synthesis of zeolites MCM-22 Beta, respectively. After templation, pyrolysis chitosan inert atmosphere renders 3D graphitic sponges with defined ultra- microporous channels. These porous structured carbons exhibit much enhanced activity as metal-free catalyst aerobic oxidation benzylamine compared to other analogous 2D graphene oxide reduced oxide, well large area active carbons. It proposed this superior these derives from confinement effects activating molecular oxygen within micropores. Quenching studies indicate reactive species are mostly adsorbed pores

Hierarchical Phenolic Resin-based Carbons with High Surface Area and Pore Volume Obtained by Soft-templating and Activation
Introduction Advanced applications often require carbons with high surface area and hierarchical porous structures. In response to this demand some efforts have been undertaken to create materials, which effectively combine the properties of both activated carbons (high surface area) and ordered mesoporous carbons (tunable and well-developed porosity). While there are activation methods, which ...
متن کاملMesoporous C/CrN and C/VN Nanocomposites Obtained by One-Pot Soft-Templating Process
Nanocomposites of ordered mesoporous carbon associated with chromium nitride (CrN) or vanadium nitride (VN) nanoparticles were obtained by a simple one-pot synthesis based on the solvent evaporation induced self-assembly (EISA) process using Pluronic triblock surfactant as soft-template and a phenol-based resin (resol) as carbon precursor. These nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffra...
متن کاملNitrogen-Rich Polyacrylonitrile-Based Graphitic Carbons for Hydrogen Peroxide Sensing
Catalytic substrate, which is devoid of expensive noble metals and enzymes for hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂), reduction reactions can be obtained via nitrogen doping of graphite. Here, we report a facile fabrication method for obtaining such nitrogen doped graphitized carbon using polyacrylonitrile (PAN) mats and its use in H₂O₂ sensing. A high degree of graphitization was obtained with a mechanical...

Soft materials with graphitic nanostructures.
This review article focuses on our recent studies on novel soft materials consisting of carbon nanotubes. Single-walled carbon nanotubes, when suspended in imidazolium ion-based ionic liquids and ground in an agate mortar, form physical gels (bucky gels), where heavily entangled bundles of carbon nanotubes are exfoliated to give highly dispersed, much finer bundles. By using bucky gels, the fir...
